Monosodium phosphate which is also known as anhydrous monobasic sodium phosphate and sodium di-hydrogen phosphate, is a compound of di-hydrogen phosphate and sodium. One among plenty of sodium phosphates used very commonly as an industrial chemical. It exists as an anhydrous salt, as well as mono- and dehydrates. The salt is obtained by partial neutralization of phosphoric acid and its reaction with Caustic Soda until the desired PH is obtained.
