Mono Ammonium Phosphate

Mono ammonium phosphate is formed when ammonia gas is added tosolution of phosphoric acid and reacted until the desired PH is obtained and solution gets distinctly acidic.In powdered form, it's an important component of suspension fertilizers. When MAP is made with especially pure H3PO4, it readily dissolves into a clear solution dispersed as a foliar spray or added to irrigation water. The P2O5 equivalent content of high-purity MAP is usually 61%.

Di-Ammonium Phosphate

Di-ammonium phosphate (DAP) also known as Di-ammonium hydrogen phosphate is one of a series of water-soluble ammonium phosphate salts that can be produced when ammonia reacts with phosphoric acid until the desired PH is obtained. DAP produced gets settled down in the solution and then it is further centrifuged to obtain the crystalline powder of Di-ammonium phosphate.

Di-Ammonium Phosphate

Applications of Di Ammonium Phosphate:

  • Di Ammonium Phosphate is used in yeast cultures,
  • Di Ammonium Phosphate is used in dentifrices, in corrosion inhibitors
  • DAP is widely used in fertilizers
